Since 1993 J&R Packaging, a division of JA Foodservice, has been assembling shelf stable meals for Senior Agencies, meeting their emergency foodservice need on a nationwide basis. Due to budget constraints in the past several years, more and more Nutrition Directors are turning to shelf stable as a means of reducing their daily meal cost.
• Control your daily delivery cost by only delivering a 5-Day Shelf Stable Meal once a week to outlying clients.
• Meals can be shipped direct from J&R Packaging to the client’s home. These menus can be made into 5, 7, 10 or 20-Day Packages.
• Using Shelf Stable 2-Packs as Weekend Meals, instead of frozen, eliminates the need for temperature control in delivery or storage.
• At the participant’s option, components of the meal do not have to be eaten in one sitting, allowing them flexibility in their dining options.
